January

  • 5th
    Procession of “ Los Reyes Magos” (the Three Kings) and life nativity scene.


  • 10th - 25th
    There will be a fair in the Port because of the fiesta of San Antonio. 17th blessing of the Animals in the Port area and the 25th in the Old Town (Plaça de la Constitució).


  • 20th
    San Sebastian fiesta, patron of the town.

February

  • 2nd
    Carnival, fancy-dress street procession, prizes for the best-dressed participants, dancing with an orchestra and after disco-mobile. Procession of “Jesus Nazareno” the 21.

March

  • 15th
    Procession of “Jesus Nazareno”

April/May

  • 10th - 13th
    Easter Artisan Craft Fair in the old town, for Semana Santa.
  • 24th April - 3rd Of May
    Fiesta of “Jesus Nazareno”. This is a very important celebration in which religious and popular acts are carried out: the procession of “Jesús de Nazareno” will lead from the church of “San Bartolome” up to the “Ermita del Calvario”, dancing in the street, bull-running, “ toro embolao” (bull with flaming horns). Also, crosses made of natural flowers are placed in various streets, in competition both in beauty and originality.

June

  • 6th - 24th
    Fiestas of “San Juan”, one of the main “fiestas” of Jávea. There will be processions with floats, dancing in the streets, firework display, bull-running in the “Plaza del Convento”, “toro embolado” (bull with “flaming” horns). Famous flower-offering procession which leads to the Ermita of Jesús Nazareno, and “cremà” (burning) of the “foguera”, fireworks and musical appearances. International festival on the 12th, 13th and 14th.

July

  • The First Weekend
    Pilgrimage in honour of Virgen del Rocío.


  • 16th
    Fiesta of “Ntra. Sra del Carmen”, fiesta of the sailors. In the morning the fishing boats will carry the image of the Virgen, will carry out their habitual offering of flowers at sea.


  • 11th - 19th
    Fiestas of the “Moros y Cristianos” (Moors and cristians). Landing of the “moors”, processions, dancing in the streets, the impressive procession representing the entrance of the Moors, etc...

    Live Chess in the Port.

August/September

  • 2nd
    Fiesta of “Virgen de los Angeles”, in La Plana: mass, wine of honour and dancing.


  • 29h August - 8th September
    Festivity of “Virgen Loreto”, patron of the “Duanes de la mar” (Port of Jávea). The celebrations include “bous a la mar” bull-running at the harbour, processions with floats, street processions, musical appearances and the famous firework display, etc...

    Pilgrimage to the Popul Hermitage.

December/January 09

  • 12th and 13th
    Fiesta of “Santa Lucia”. In the morning (the 13.) the procession will walk up to the “Ermita”. Mass celebration and then chocolate and pastries will be offered.

    Traditional nativity scene and kings procesion in the town.
